You can try ONLY if you make a gas/glow mix with 18% of oil in it. DO NOT RUN standard glow engine on 3% oil or you will ruin the engine in no time.

Additional things not mentioned by AV8TOR:
1. You will have probably a hard time addjusting the mixture with stock carburator.
2. you neet to monitor the head temperature. Gasoline is burning hotter than methanol but cooling fins on standard glow engine are very small. If you overheat the engine you will ruin it faster, than you can say "Why this engine is running so hot?" .
