thats a great hull thats for sure!!. Thanks
but you just ruined everything with your polishing and rounding it dude!! beg to differ, I did no such rounding was especially carefull to leave all edges sharp
round curves and soft lines are like the WORST thing you can do that a boat, causes major drag Thats why everything was sharpened
i'd get that file out and sharpen everything or you will have a sad running boat. see the pic with the hone????
as for being "too steep" i don't know what thats about. the best rudders are wedge rudders. a knife blade rudder isnt even as good. and i have run a knife blade rudder, I made it out of a Hankel's fillet knife, i used that and then replaced it with the exact Fullers mini rudder you have and its made a WORLD of differenceJust thinned the piece overall since it had some dings in the back side still is quite wedged but wanted a cleaner transition an no nicks or chips
and leave the turn fin like that dude, you only round it, if its on a mono becuse when the water hits it the boat is on a angle so it doesn't give so much suction. Thats what I wanted to know! Will leave as is
that grapuner hull ( got it drom DR jet ?) is a great boat. Yup by way of double dog he had it first basically collecting dust so bought from him
But to clarify, again, I Edged EVERYTHING after polishing the main surfaces. The leading edge was wobbly from a quick sharpening from pervious owner, basically I polished then squared an sharpened all. I dont think Ill have any adverse running characteristics an only made a good thing better!
