when I had the 12T Retro Series motor in with the current ESC that we both have, the motor only lasted one day. The RC store said that they changed the pinion accordingly. I don't know what that actually was they put on. Now I have the 17d Vemon motor with the standard pinion gear and the truck halls pretty good. about 28 - 30 mph. When I had the 12T Retro Series in, it went about 33 mph.

I wish I knew why it went so I could help you out. Well when you figure it out, let me know, cuz I might upgrade to the Venom 13d Venom. What gears can we change??? Just the motor pinion or the main gear too????
