My NTC3 didn't even come with a stock lid for the receiver compartment. I have had to use some ugly, makeshift masking taping to secure the pack. As you pointed out, it will be a lot more convenient and better looking to be able to bolt down the rechargeable pack with a zip-pull or the like. I didn't even think of that
