Default RE: MK Beetle Plans for download (others to follow?)

Hello Everyone

For your interest in three days the low res version has been downloaded 46 times and the high res 37 times. It shows that there is interest in digital plans and the small amount of effort on my part in scanning the plans is worth while.

If the weather is too nasty to fly this weekend I would encourage everyone who has a classic kit or plan to go to their hobby room and dig it out, reminisce for a while, then take it to your local kinkos or copy king (or wherever) and get it scanned.

Personally I would like to see a wild7 or blue angel. Maybe a Dash 5. Even some of the smaller versions like the aurora 45.

Then of course there is the tiporare. I remember looking at the great planes catalogue that came in each kit and thinking how mean the two pattern planes looked the other was a dirty birdi.

There are of course a couple of places to buy plans and short kits and I am not trying to cut those people out. I wouldn't want to infringe on the copyright of a commercially available plan. Having a digital plan doesn't mean these people won't sell a short kit. In fact it could help sales in that one can see how hard it would be scratch build some of the more complex planes and convince one to go with a short kit.

Cheers
Tarquin
