You could probably get any engine brand going on a subject like this and get those who love them and those who wouldn't even use it for a fishing weight. I've never had a Evolution glow, but finally stepped up to gas recently and purchased a Evo 26 and 35. I absolutely love them both, very minor tuning and both start with only a couple of flips when cold and usually with 1 flip on the prop after warmed up. I can consistently get the idle down low enough where is seems you can watch the prop tick over. Little too low for comfort, but it WILL idle there. Power seems to be good and am still experimenting with different props. To condem an entire line of engines just doesn't seem logical, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

i disagree,i have never seen several statements in a row saying my da,my 3w,my zenoah is a real piece of junk. you only hear it from time to time. companys carryover basic design and technology in the artery of design they are on. if its bad ideas you can condemn the whole line. taking glow technology and converting to gas as a dedicated gasser is a bad idea. the engines reputation proves this fact.
It has an impecable reputation with some. Others have problems. The question as I see it - Is the problem with the owner or the engine? I think I know the answer but my better judgement says "keep it to yourself Jezmo".
