I've riden in a 1:1 Cole that had a flat ride pad at the back. We toped 110 MPH. Road in it on and off all day and never noticed any poor ride quality. Of course you don't turn a 1:1 the way you'd turn an RC boat.
My input - that looks like a fun boat. My compete with the SV. Looks like Proboat may have finally figured out that no one likes their steerable drives. That's no grim racer hardware tho. Looks pretty rough compared to the SV. Like the waterjacket.
flat ride pad'd V hulls do not handle like a V hull no matter which way you look at it.
SV27. How do you know it was a flat ride pad? There are alot of boats that are a full V hull with a flat notch at the back to get the hull aird out. the boat does not ride on this but from looking at it from the stern it appears to be a flat ride pad
boat with a flat ride pad will not handle properly. as for taking turn like you RC's. get in a real performance boat and put it though its paces. You can! and i have done it.
