Default Upgraded Chassis

Since my son drives his Shockwave hard, the bottom chassis plate became bent and scraped up pretty bad. So, being in the aerospace industry, I made him a new chassis out of aircraft alloy (for anyone who knows, I used 0.100 inch thick 7075-T6 sheet, much stronger than the original 6061 alloy. I riveted on some stiffening ribs to the outer edges (they also work as a skid plate for the bottom). And, speaking of skid plates, I made one for the front and back at the suspension areas because he was scraping this area up pretty bad. Those skid plates are made of 0.020 inch thick Titanium sheet, dimpled for the countersunk screws. Also, I made new front and rear shock plates out of the same metal as the chassis. It has worked well so far after some hard track racing and jumping. No more bent shock towers even after 5-6 flips.......pictures below.
