RE: crop duster r/c
Outaconrol41 - My congrats again on a job well done , you have raised the bar for the rest of us. Your not the only one who has a "cooling down" period after building one of the monsters. I like to wait a while to let the memory of countless hours and dollars fade away a bit before taking the plunge. Our club has 2 test pilots who will do the maiden flight for those of us less experianced. Generally they will do the take off and get it trimmed and then hand it over. I've only got 3 years under my belt so I Fly with the test pilot with a Buddy box for the first flight on a new plane. These guys are worth their weight in gold having brought many a model back in one piece that in lesser hands would have made good starter for the wood stove. I'm pretty realistic about my skills and am not afraid to ask for help with a new plane. As for the Air Tractor it will be done for our annual mall show in March (hopefully) and then off to the field to work out all the kinks with the help of the test pilot. Then wait for the memory to subside.!! What';s up next ?? Gonna do a H9 Ultra Stick 40 ARF for a knock around plane and then I'll take the plunge with the TMRC Pawnee. Will post some pictures of the Air Tractor as it nears completion. Keep up the posts !!
