RE: Cryodrive shaft length?
Cryodrive is the CF rod idea stolen from this forum and put them in Heli-Max gears, This guy who makes them is known to take other peoples idea and trys to sell them. He does this with e-bay and has horrable feedback/rating. I posted the first CF rods mods to share the knowledge with everyone, it was never indended nor permission was ever given for someone to profit off of it.
Pirellip is probable right, there would be no benifit to freezing it.
There is one big problem with CF shafts, They get damaged when you screw in the lower head assembly and can only be dissassembled a few times before they need to be replaced. So spending $50 on cryodrive is a very bad idea. RMG2 has is right, you need to make your own and have a couple around for replacment.
As for the length goes an extra 22mm is a bit high. Most upgrades are at 5mm + additinal 5mm for the upper head, so start off with about 10mm extension first and see how that goes. If you are a xtreme hardcore flyer then 15mm would be ideal. Goldslinger was the first to extend CF rods, I believe he has a total of a 10mm gap and seem to love it. Try them both out and keep us posted.
