It seems like even most factory .21 engines a actually pretty decent now. You might consider picking up a new one off ebay. A quick search showed that they are consistantly available under $100. But then again, you might as well also start looking at engines like the OS and such.
The cheapest OS 21 I would consider is the OS V Spec and at $300 I would not call that a budget engine.
Oh, heh yeah you're right. I was thinking back to when I bought my O.S. CV-R .12 for somewhere around 110 or so, and figured the .21s would be around 150ish (thus, on ebay for around 100ish, which would have put them into a "budget" catagory). But that was like 6-7 years ago and I see that engine series is discontinued now anyways.
But still, RTR engines seem like his best bet.
