The stock hinges will fail even if installed correctly. I lost half of an elevator in flight, luckily it was still easy to land with it hanging from the control rod! This is the third plane that has had CA hinge failures where the hinge cracked and fails at the bend point. Yes, I allow the correct space for flexing and I use the flexible CA designed for CA installs.
