for your first (or near first) plane - assuming you're talking about an electric that you can fly in any open field - i really like the parkzone planes. i started a couple years ago with the J3 cub, but the P-51 is pretty sweet ... with ailerons and everything, and performs much better. it's cheap, easy to replace parts, and looks pretty cool too. just google parkzone p-51 and you'll see it.
