RE: Moki and Spit Kit
swixtt,
One that hasn't been mentioned yet is the Dave Platt Spitfire Mk XII kit. Like the Yellow and the Pica, it is 1/5th scale and shares the 88" wingspan. It builds very light and, like the other Spits, is easy to fly. Just move the main gear axles just a tad forward to prevent nose-overs common to most Spitfires. Dave himself recommended the Moki 1.80 for this kit to me when I ordered it.
While the Dave Platt Spit can be hard to find, they do show up on eBay on occasion. In fact, one just sold there last week. But, I just happened to have one new in the box complete with everything.......and I do mean "everything".........needed to complete this plane. Just keep in mind that this was Dave's last complete Spitfire kit and with the gear, cockpit kit, pilot and Glennis wheels and tires, it won't be cheap. However, if you are interested I can send you photos of what I have and a price.
With whatever decision you make, good luck. You can't go wrong with a Spitfire!!!
