Can anyone give me a measurement from the plywood plate that the A50 16S is mounted to to the front of the thrust washer? I am using the Extreme Flight Torque 4014T-570 and need a reference measurement for mounting it.

I measure 85mm (keep reading!) from the front of the firewall to the front of the thrust washer/spinner back-plate. I removed 10mm (exactly, the Hacker A50 "L" series are 10mm longer then the "S" series) to use a longer can Hacker A50 12L so if you factor that in, the proper length is 75mm. I wouldn't go with a longer motor unless you are prepared to cut the motor box as there is no wiggle room to cheat the cowl further front. If you look at the first page of this thread, you can see just how easy cutting the motor box actually is...
