Default RE: GP GEE BEE

OK guys I just finished mine. I got it for Christmas because my wife loves the plane and wants to see one fly. I have installed an old YS120. The throttle servo is on the firewall. It came out a little tail heavy according to the CG in the manual (2-3/4" from leading edge). Does anyone have confirmation this is a good starting point? Here are a few photos.
DONT MESS WITH THE CG~~~!!!
Make sure you set the CG at the recommended specs according to your instruction manual.
It'll fly just fine.
I'd imagine A YS120 would balance out just fine because my OS120 balanced with a few grams of weight in the tail section but in your case it's a bit tail heavy. move the battery as far forward as you can and rearrange a few things here and there until it balances out.

The BEEGEE having such a short fuselage isn't all that forgiving especially if it's tail heavy even just a little bit.

But do keep it light as possible and don't "experiment" with the CG until you've flied it a few times in the rec. specs.
Oh, one other thing, you might consider keeping the wheel pants off until you get the hang of takeoff's and landings.

Have fun!
