Would an Ultrasport 1000 if built to 2M be reasonably competitive as a beginner/sportsman/entry level pattern plane? I'm building 2 right now (1 for me & 1 for my brother) and am considering building a 3rd modified to a mid wing plug in wing configuration. If the stock low wing location flies well I'm thinking maybe just to stick with that. I couldn't help but think of this seeing the wing was located relatively low on this plane. Any comments?
