That won't hold up long...even a real packing of JB weld will break down and turn to dust quickly.

You want a locker with an option to change later, use Silly Putty. Remove the grease and jam in a ton of silly putty and that'll make it lock but its still easy to take out.

I agree on a Savage you aren't doing anything but wasting time. The Locked diff will slow turning down and increase tire wear. The only good thing about a locker is for crawling and a Savage is terrible at crawling...all nitros are.
