Default RE: A10X still available?

Todd,

I think that the snap issue is mainly a function of elevator throw. I initially setup Louie's using some things I found on here and I believe George's article from RCJI. With high rates, I could get his to snap with just elevator in almost any configuration. Since then I've been backing off of the throws and its gotten much better. However, Louie did snap it out of a loop once recently when he pulled full up on the bottom and was a bit slow. Luckly he was high and could recover, but it certainly surprised him.

In addition, when it bounces on landing, it will sometimes drop a tip - which is not unusual, but it is much more likely do to so, and more radically, than other aircraft like a KingCat/Bobcat. Like I said, Louie is moving up to an F-15, and I think he'll have a much easier time landing that than the A10X. That's the only part of the jet flying that he's still working on - that last flair and touchdown - but we all can relate to that. Actually, the last time we went out to fly, he did four landings on the A10X and I was talking him down through the first three. On the last one, I had turned around to check something else out and he had gone ahead and landed and that was actually his best one - so I think I'm going to just shutup and watch from now on...
