If you glued your ABS tires on with CA glue then boiling should loosen up the glue and allow you to take off the tire. But if the tires are held on by some other means then I don't think boiling will help.

Also if your wheels were black when you got them then they are most likely died black so boiling will not hurt them. If you painted them black yourself then boiling might hurt the paint but you can always paint them again or better yet dye them black yourself.

Be careful with boiling because you can burn yourself as well as melt the wheel if you leave it in the water for too long.
