I have at least 25 diesels with DAVIS heads all the way up to a 1.08 OS . The foxs do fine I have a Fox 50 converted (ringed)
Research and results are 2 different animals all I know are the conversions that Davis makes work very well on all the listed
Engines and have for the last 30+ years

unless an engine is durable and proven you will not see a Davis head for it

on research you might want to look up Peter Chins ( hope that is spelled right) review in 1977 on the Davis diesel conversions

which was a huge addition to what was out there in the "Classic group" and yes have quite a few of them also
