RE: Classic pattern flying
I flew a couple or three of them back when they were available from Airborne. I probably have some pictures somewhere but no pieces left. They were really good planes for the time. The best of Kirklands IMO. George Hill (Airborne owner) & I experimented with a couple of them by lengthing the nose, changing the wing plan somewhat, anhedral stab, etc. but I'm not sure we improved the plane as Jim designed it. It was fun to try different stuff though.
