Backward screws on tail hub
Well after cleaning and rebuilding my tail hub I have found that shaft movement has a very rough touch to it. i.e. - feels like as if its clicking with each movement. To solve this, the furthest 3 screws on the tail hub that form a kind of triangle. I put these screws on backwards (i.e. screw head on rotor side, and now shaft movement is sooo smooth.
I guess this could be due to my tail hub being slightly bent if thats not normal.
Should i attempt to fly it like that, giving more thorough tail inspections between flights, or am i asking for trouble? Just wondering if I can get out of spending $50 for a new tail hub in its current state.
