Picked up my current ride in Stuttgart 23 years ago, and I expect it to last at least another 20 years. And the parts I've had to replace say "Nippondenso" on them. The ones that say "Bosch," "ZF," and even "Delco" have given no problems at all.

On the trunk the sign says "500SE."

Yes, there are Japan parts on Mercedes, too. They are the parts that fail.

I'm not saying there aren't some nice Asian cars, whether assembled on the far side of the pond or here in the USA. But most, if you run them fifteen years or more, you will come close to having paid for them twice, if not three times.

I'm just a "Stick-in-the-mud," I don't like to replace things I'm comfortable with, and I don't like to buy something I wont be comfortable with.
