For some reason I thought the booms were glass. Wood is good for modifying. I might consider this at a later date.

Yes, this is easier for me being it is wood, and lighter also. I'm shooting for a final weight of no more than 16lbs. A friend has a Yellow P-38 that is only 10" larger, yet weighs more than twice that. I think it will be nice to fly even with all the extra detail.
