RE: SIG Four Star 60 modifications
I noticed that no one addressed the thought of reducing the wieght of the tail. When I opened the box I saw that there appeared to be a lot of wood in the supplyed parts for tail feathers. I had heard it said that these planes tended to be tail heavy, so I proceeded to cut down some of the wood parts size wise and used 1/32 balsa instead of 1/16. This allowed me to substiute spruce for balsa for the stringers for more strength. Mine came out just right on balance if not a little nose hesvy. I also used d-tube constuction on the wing and eliminated the dia. cross bracing. 91 for power is just right. Mine flies great. I don't think you need to increase the size of the ele and rud.
