Default RE: Using a Futaba TX w/ the cp pro

Well went to the LHS to go ahead and pay for the crystal. The owner was wondering what I was trying to do. I told him about the info Atzanik gave me. He was looking up the crystals, then pulled a cp pro down from the shelf (we where trying to figure out why the short crystal). Well, to make a long story short, I said, hmm. I didn't try to use the TX crystal from the stock cp-pro TX in my futaba. So I drove back home, put the crystal from the cp-pros TX in my futaba, and it friggen worked !

Yes , that is part of it, but I already had this radio for years for my nitro heli that I has been sitting around due to my fear to crash it due to money. It has a lot more features that the stock radio. One of the ones I like is being able to make the sticks less sensitive near their center positions (exponential). There is also dual rates.
It being a 72 MhZ radio it may be still prone to glitches, not sure, just now setting it up. By doing this I will be elimating one thing in the glitch chain (I hope).

Atzanik ----

Again I thank you ! Once I get it set up it should be much better with the computer radio than the stock (granted when I get to stunt mode I will miss the dial I never used, will just have to make a new model # with a different throttle curve (never got that far with the raptor 30 anyway )

Now the gyro question still lingers. Maybe I need to just strap the thing on and see. I can see it now ... it's alive ! I created a monster !
