The normal operating range for most small block RC engines is anywhere from 230 to 270 degrees F. Running temps below the minimum target will wear internal parts of the engine faster, as they haven't expanded fully.
They are designed to be run in that range, and expansion is accounted for in that equation. So don't be afraid to lean it out a bit, if you need to.
