They show a Futaba Skysport radio. If it's the complete system as shown then that is worth the purchase price by itself. Old and basic tech but functional.
I am not real sure that is a Skysport in the picture. It is kind of blurry so I really can't tell for sure.
Me either. It looks like one, but the specs say it has a 1000 ft range. It should have close to 2500ft if it's a Futaba.
[link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXEFJ4**&P=0]This[/link] is a skysport. The older ones were black. I think the "LITE" version with micro servos is like $95. It might be a Futaba clone with an aftermarket receiver. It should still fly as well as the GWS version.
If you read down farther it also says "Requires 8 AA batteries for the transmitter" every Skyport I have seen had a rechargable NiCad pack.
Also: Above where it might say Skyport (again too fuzzy to read) it has a square label where it should say Futaba and the Skyport has a meter near the top to guage the battery (I can't see a meter but again too fuzzy to tell)
I should point out, I am not saying it is a bad buy, I am just questioning the transmitter.
It may well be a fun flyer and well worth the money.
