pilot error???
After many successful flights yesterday, I wanted to fly today. unfortunately the wind was a little strong. but aginst my better judgement I decided to fly anyway. that turned out to be a mistake. as I throttled up the plane for take off a big gust of wind hit, instead of cutting the throttle I pulled back on the elevator and before I could even process what was happening I watched in horror as my Super Cub leaped into the air rolled starboard and looped directly into the ground. The damage was a smashed cowl and the fuslage broke in two right in front of the tail. needless to say I learned a lesson today about useing a little common sense. really it was a cheap mistake setting me back $ 26.00 and a few hours of repair and set up time. I have everything installed in a new fuselage but I failed to write down the position of the two optical sensors plugs in the control box. anyone with a Hobbyzone Super Cub that can look and tell me which sensor is plugged in the starboard side and which is in the port side and which way the polarity is?
