There should be play in the arms and tires.. but you can take out some of it.. and sometimes its a sign of things that are worn like..

* Shockcaps
* The shock rod end can be worn
* Low fluid in the shock itself is low
* Check your bearings
* Check all the "eyes" on the end of the rods they get worn

Make sure that where the steering rods connect at the wheel hub, that the screw holding the rod at that point is tight, mine loosens there alot

Some things i've noticed on my 8ight I hope this helps
