What's the usual mix for a diesel conversion?

I googled one place in Sydney that stocks diethyl ether in quantities of 1 or 2.5 litres but there's so many grades and acronyms i can't tell what's what.

Also, is this stuff dangerous to mix and store?

I might have to shelve my curiousity.
