Default RE: DIY Ignition System - Most simple

ORIGINAL: Patxipt

I passed by the electronics shop today and bought the components for the "Patxipt" version of your ignition.
I'm still confused about the schematic, the 1 Ohm resistor seems to be superfluous (only to measure current?)and the coil secondary ground should be connected to the primary ground.
Photos of my module follow as attachments. Will try to test this week on the bench.
The connector next to the 7805 voltage regulator has the same pinout as a servo lead, Ground-Vcc-Signal. I also replaced the 7555 for a NE555 IC, since the former wasn't available.
Dear Patxip,
1 Ohm Resister is current limiter not only to measure the current.
I attached a photo how to wire the coil. If you can only find a coil that has common ground for primary and secondary from the factory then you can consider wire the coil as shown in the photo, either way should work. But keep in mind, this wiring won't work if one size of ignition contact go to engine case (ground). You have to isolate engine ground and ignition circuit ground. Good luck and any success or question please let me know.
