RE: Extreme composite Pro-Line
Serious,,
re-read the rules they are posted now.
The rule is still 5000g however there is now a 1% variance for the accuracy of the scale.
So technically yes 5050g is legal until you get a scale that reads a little high..now that the rules allows for a deviation for the accuracy of the scale there is now way to argue if you are over the limit. I have a pretty accurate Scale and its +- 1% for accuracy. I can weigh the same 5000g mass on 3 different days and it will drift 10-15g each day.
So no weight limit changes are in place just a realistic view that a 1% accuracy means you don't have to have a $1000 scale to weigh your pattern model and contest organizers are in the same boat. They don't need a really expensive scale.
The same deviation also applies to the sound readings. 1% deviation. 94bd(A) means 94.9 is legal but 95 is not. Again if you are in this range you are playing with fire.
