Default Separating the good from the bad!

Hi All,

I'm new to all this modeling stuff, I've got my heli's, I've joined a club. But I'm still trying to learn how to separate the good from the bad in terms of products. Seeing as anything connected with RC heli's (or RC in general) seems to be at a premium, blatantly marked up in price in some cases. I don't won't to waste my hard earned cash on inferior quality products or spend more than is necessary just because of a name or badge. I understand that in many cases you simply get what you pay.

I hope starting a thread like this is not going to break the forum policies, I know some forums I have been on don't like any form of negative speak against products. But I'm sure we can do this in a constructive way that will be of benefit to all.

The sort of items I'm planning to buy in the near future would be, better spec/stronger servos, gyro, battery monitor... but I'm sure this thread could apply to many more items.

Cheers,
Shaun
