Thanks for the diverse answers, guys. Fred, this is the exact wing you describe...saw the rubber bands. Good to know it has the strength. We really wanted to use it as it came, with him being a learner, if he broke one wing we could separate it and get a new left or right side. Did not want to expoxy if not necessary.
Flight characteristics? Any surprises? Shouldn't be real tricky. We are using an OS .40FP.
