Hello All...I am assembling a Venus II. This ARF comes with mylar hinges (i believe they are mylar). Some where i read that you should soak the hinges in alcohol (then let them dry) before using them. To the best of my memory the purpose of the "soak" is to remove any foreign coating or grease that might be on the hinge, thus providing greating adhesion ability for the hinge when applying CA. Any one know of this practice i.e. if this is a proper and proven method of preparing mylar hinges?
