On all of mine (3+), I've mounted the "pod" so its thrust line is ideally parallel to an imaginary line drawn from the center (LE to TE) of the wing chord. In reality, the TLAR method actually works well

You just need to make sure there is not a pronounced angle of the POD centerline away from parallel to the wing surface - else you'll get some pitch "vectoring" as a function of throttle setting.
