Here's a few of some rubber band powered outriggers that were built at a challenge at the `03 IMPBA Internat's. It was funny watching a bunch of grown men building and tweaking these boats.
We got a bag with the contents in them. You could use anything that you wanted as long as it was in the bag including the bag. You could remove pieces but not add to them. Painting or otherwise personalizing them was fine.
I had the fastest boat but Ernie LaFleur won for distance.
The rubber band and prop assembly were standard airplane parts.
Mine is on the far right. I broke the sponson dowel, that's why it's offset.
