Yep, that's what breaks. The hinge pin hole on the arm stretches a bit but the hinge pins will snap along with the front brace. It's happened to me in a 10 MPH impact*( This was a Lunsford ti pin too...) on top of another 8ight T. I recommend buying extra hinge pins and braces as well as steering spindles, and steering balls to go on the spindles(Make sure you get extra lock nuts for these). Those are the parts that snap during a front impact of any sort. Also, you might want to check to see if your shock tower is tweaked and your shock shaft is bent.
