You should charge that battery at no more than 2.4 amps (1x capacity = 1C). Those adapters are required when charging at or above 3 amps. They are not needed unless you have a 3000 mA or larger LiPo (and would like to charge it at 1C). You shouldn't charge the battery you described above 2.4 amps anyway, so you won't gain anything with those leads.
I have the Equinox and I like it. It works really well for me. I can't say for sure if it will work with your charger, but I don't see why not.
