At least one of those throw pillows on the wifes/girlfriends couch is made of foam.
The new temperpidic pillows foam should make an excelent shock absorber.
A large pair of sharp scissors cuts 3 to 4 inch thick foam near perfectly.
A large sharp kitchen knife works well too ....... take long strokes and it cuts right through the foam. Also, any good upholstery supply shop will have both the latex and urethane foams, as well as the new stuff. I'm kinda curious about the latex crumbling though ..... mine lasts for years. I wonder if yours is being exposed to some kind of chemical that is making it deteriorate.
