No no no, Sandman, don't mill a key slot in the shaft!!!! The original ST710 prop hub is just fixed by a tapper spanner with a slot in it, that sits in a tappered hole in the hub and is compressed by tightening the prop nut. Isn't the ST770 hub fixed the same way? I can remove the prop of my ST710 and make some pictures and measure the diameters and tapper angle if You want.
