RE: YS 110fz engine problem
Lean out the regulator adjustment.....Its is likely too rich on the regulator. This is the dripping. If the there is no dirt or debris in the regulator then its too rich...you need to dial the screw in slightly (CW direction) to lean this out. This puts compression on the little spring holding the plunger closed. If the plunger does not close then it will leak. Two main causes of it not closing are dirt, or not enough spring force. This is how the regulator works. You adjust the screw to vary the compression force on the spring. More force on the spring means the plunger will take more force before it opens, and will close sooner. This means less fuel flow. A dripping condition means its allow too much fuel through. So its opening to soon and staying open too long.
As I said before dirt and debris will get in this plunger mechanism and can keep it from closing.
Also what is the condition of the glow plug. Usually a bad glow plug will not idle well and will quit when throttling back.
next question is what fuel and prop are you using....too much load on the prop will cause the engine to over heat and then it can die on throttle back too.
What ever fuel you choose for prop and fuel the engine should run around 9000 to 9500 rpm for best results.
