If the diaphrams harden up at all they won't pump fuel or meter properly. I'd put a kit in it if it's questionable. Should swing an 18-8, which is the most popular prop for this, at close to 7000. Normal carb settings, if everything is right, is 1 turn on high speed and 1 1/4 on low on average Q 35.
