RE: RCU Bipe and general electric flight question...
Hi guys.
I had the RCU Bipe for a year and 1/2 and it was my first electric plane and I did use the 22M-1000 w/ V-pich and the BL-12 with 3 JR SM-15 servos and a E-Flite 75 for pitch. Never had a problem with the power and I was using a TP 730 Lipo. Then I change the set up for the 10-Amp Pro Brushless ESC by E-Flite with the Park 370 BL Outrunner, 1200kV motor by the same company and kept the same battery with 3 servos, never had a problem with it and plenty of power to get out of a hover. Ofcorse with out the V-Pich set up and the extra servo did have more power since was lighter. My point is that any of this ESC over the 10 Amps will work fine for 3 and even 4 sub-micro servos with out an external BEC but always is good to go with a higher ESC get something between 10 and 20 Amps and don't go above 900 mah, to heavy and the only thing they will give you is a few extra minutes of fly time. Remember to try to keep all 3 ( Batt/ESC?Motor ) with about the same range of performance. Ex. If your ESC have a Max. Constant Current: 11A and a Max. Surge Current: 15A your motor should stand about the same and the battery for safety should be rated about the same. If you go with a bigger batt. the you need to watch your trottle management or you will burn the ESC and even the Motor ( depend their rating ) thats why is good to have the next higher Amp rated ESC from the recomended.

If you have doubt with the ESC get the CC Phoenix 10 it dose said that can handle up to 4 sub-micro servos. For your question of Great Planes Silver Serie or ElectriFly BL Serie, the BL have some other features than the silver dont have. This will be your choice what you whant from the ESC, stay over the 10 Amps. For the servos, you can go with the Hitec HS-55 or 65HB ( stronger gear and more torque ) or Futaba S3110 Micro High Torque servo and for the receiver Hitec have a good one dont remember numbers for this one or the Futaba R114F FM Micro receiver ( High Band or Low Band dont know the one for Futaba Tx ) or the JR Sport RS6UL 6-Channel Rx Neg Shift FUT/HRC.
Hope this help, feel free to ask any other question.
