The pump has a silicone diaphragm and petroleum type oils will damage it

On the present day pump carbs the idle adjusting wheel is anodized "Blue". The regular carb's idle mixture wheel is natural brass colored

The old pump carbs had a mid-range adjustment on top adjacent to the idle mixture wheel
