I was not trying to give you a hard time.
But I think I've figured out what you're talking about. The socket head cap screw that goes through the grip into the hub.
The one that can only be accessed by removing the blade. Is that correct?

The force that would be needed to dislodge it from the ball and link would have been great.
It could be anywhere including stuck in the ground.
