Default RE: Women fliers

[sm=biggrin.gif] haha. That's one of my biggest problems, beside nerves; Im always yanking the sticks around and over correcting.
One of the guys at the field says teaching women to drive tractors is a lot easier than teaching men, because they seem to really listen and remember instructions and go step by step, instead of diving in deaf and blind and hot rodding the thing around as soon as they jump in.

*shrug*

I wanted to say, I've been thinking that if a guy's wife isn't into rc airplanes it isn't necessarily just cause she's a woman. There's a lot of men who aren't into rc airplanes either. I've tried a lot to get my boyfriend into this, and he thinks it's interesting, but it seems like he's only interested enough to look at the planes if I show him pics or say "yeah that's , cool." And this is someone who's into (non-moving) models, electronics and mechanics.

I guess the love of flight is a very specific interest at the heart of the love of rc airplanes which is a subcategory of RC in general.

Not everyone's going to have it.
