Just leave the gear channel set to gear and adjust the end points till the gyro display says 35 to 40 percent gain in AVCS mode. You want to adjust the servo arm length so you get around 100 to 110 on the LIMIT-A and LIMIT-B in the gyro, that sets your over all servo travel, if you are way under that shorten the arm, if way over then you are too short.
